Students place in national interior design competition
Three of ACU’s interior design students were honored at this year’s 2011 Brass Ring Design Competition. The students’ projects were among more than 1600 entries in the competition.
“Each of the ACU entries represented the excellent talent and determination typical of our students,” said Kitty Wasemiller, professor and director of ACU’s Interior Design program. “It’s great to have these entries confirmed as top-notch, and against larger universities. I am so proud of them!”
Bronze awards were give to Ashley Ohlhausen, senior design major from Abilene, for her hotel design, ”Mareas Vivas” and Haley Buffington, junior interior design major from The Woodlands, for her restaurant design “Add-A-Cone”. Alex Potess, senior interior design major from Lubbock, and Lisha Cottrill, junior interior design major from Cedar Hill, both received honorable mentions for their hotel designs.
