State Board To Delay January Meeting
Ohio’s State Board of Education is expected to announce that their January 2011 meeting, originally scheduled for January 10-11, will be pushed back to January 18-19.
You may remember that when his Governor Strickland’s five appointees for the board were rejected by the Ohio Senate last month, the soon-to-be former governor made five more appointments.
So what does this mean?
The additional time will allow the Ohio Senate and soon-to-be Governor John Kasich time to sort out who’s in and who’s out. It also means that the previously heavily Democrat State Board will likely tilt ever so slightly the other way.
