Focus on Yeshiva Chanoch Lenaar

Located at Yeshiva.org, Yeshiva Chanoch Lenaar celebrates its 35th year of educating Jewish children in Brooklyn, NYC. The schools primary focus is on Jewish high school boys with no previous Jewish education.

Starting with grade eight and working through twelfth grade, boys are lead down two paths, a Jewish studies path and a secular studies path. Regarding religious studies, boys learn the Hebrew language and move on to Chumash, Mishnah, Gemara and Advanced Gemara.

While Yeshiva Chanoch Lenaar is located in Brooklyn, its students hail from all over the world. Boys who travel from beyond New York City have dormitories to live in while studying at the school. The boys are immersed in a total Jewish environment while studying at Yeshiva Chanoch Lenaar.

A point system is used to motivate boys as they pursue Jewish studies. Regular academic grades are used for core curriculum classes.

Chanoch Lenaar is equipped with a state-of-the-art computer room, a Judaica library, and world class recreational activities. An outside playground allows boys to play organized sports such as basketball, volleyball, and tetherball. An indoor health and recreation center provides punching bags, weights, and games such as pool tables, air hockey, and video games.

Students are required to adhere to a dress code while at Chanoch Lenaar.
